Everything we ordered was good. My son tried alligator and liked it. One of us had hot honey sliders that were good, the chicken and the red beans and rice were all tasty too. Friendy staff. Water was in a cooler. I liked that so when we needed more we could just get it instead of waiting. All the chicken and alligator were fried. We liked them, but just a heads up if you order half a chicken it comes in pieces fried, not like a rotisserie chicken or roasted.

So glad we gave Daisy’s a try! After visiting the Museum of Science and Industry, we stopped by Daisy’s for dinner and were so happy with our experience. To eat, three of us ordered 3 Biscuits with Honey Butter, Fried Green Tomatoes, a bowl of the Seafood Gumbo, the 6” BBQ Shrimp Po’ Boy, and the 6” Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy. The biscuits were buttery and cheesy and the honey butter was just the right amount of sweet. The Fried Green Tomatoes were good but not the star of the show. The sandwiches were incredibly flavorful and delicious. The Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy had just a kick of spice that really added to the flavor. Finally, the Seafood Gumbo had the perfect zip we were looking for and was so flavorful. All around, the food was amazing and just what we were looking for from a Cajun restaurant. For the ambiance, the restaurant was decorated with fun, Cajun-themed decor and the employees were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Daisy’s for casual, Cajun cuisine in Hyde Park!

We went here for date night, the food took us directly back to New Orleans. The gumbo is one of the best and most flavorful in the city and the shrimp Po-Boy was as good as the best ones we have had New Orleans.
